MATH 495: Introduction to Abstract Linear Algebra Fall 2013

• Homework is due the week after it is assigned meeting.
• Midterm 1: 9-16 (time to be arranged, not during regular meeting)
• Midterm 2: 11-11 (time to be arranged, not during regular meeting)
• Final Exam: time to be arranged (once student knows final exam schedule for other classes, this class meets at a non-standard time)

• Week 6: Chapter 6 of Insel Spence and Friedberg
• Week 7: Chapter 7 of Insel Spence and Friedberg
• Week 8: modules from Dummit and Foote 10.1-10.2
• Week 9: modules from Dummit and Foote 10.3-10.4
• Week 10: modules from Dummit and Foote 10.5
• Week 11: modules from Dummit and Foote 11.1-11.2
• Week 12: modules from Dummit and Foote 11.3-11.4
• Week 13: modules from Dummit and Foote 11.5-12.1
• Week 14: modules from Dummit and Foote 12.2-12.3
(of course, it is entirely possible we don't get that far into Dummit and Foote, this is merely a possible path )
